Greetings folks! Just over five hours left until Twestival Brunei kicks off! We know there are some who won't be able to attend the event at Swensen's @ The Mall, Gadong in person so we have set up a live-streaming channel!

For our overseas twitter friends, do get involved by:

• Nominating your loved ones or friends on your behalf to buy ice-cream at Swensens, The Mall, Gadong on Thursday 24 March from 7.30pm to 9.30pm;
• Have them seek one of the Twestival organisers on the evening; and
• And we will gladly tweet you a pic of your nominee(s) with their ice-cream and big smiles :D

Kitaro Japanese Restaurant is one of the platinum sponsors for Twestival Brunei, and on Tuesday 22nd March 2011 there will be a pre-Twestival dinner at the restaurant with proceeds going to Twestival Brunei's Child Development Centre fund. If you have not yet made reservations, give them a call (2457373); you will leave as a happy (and full!) customer.

During the evening, Kitaro will also be hosting a Man vs Food challenge! The stage is set, and representatives from the general public, Bruneian Twitterverse, Pilihan FM, UBD FM, etc have already accepted the Kitaro Sumo Challenge. It is going to be one epic battle! 

If you cannot make it for dinner, find time to witness and experience what is set to be a great pre-Twestival event! And oh! Make sure you ask about their Angry Bird bento set as well!

In celebration of Twestival Brunei we thought we’d have a bit of fun and run a Twestival Brunei photo competition on Twitter and give away ONE (1) Return Ticket to SIngapore for the best photo we receive!

All you have to do is:

• Follow @TwestivalBrunei on Twitter
• Head over to Swensens, The Mall, Gadong from Sunday 20 March until Thursday 24 March 2011 to buy your ice-cream
• Take a photo of you & your ice-cream – points will be awarded for creativity and originality like using props and/or costumes!
• Tweet us the picture using the hashtag #TwestivalBrunei
• We’ll choose the one we think is the best photo & notify the winner by 27 March 2011 :)
• One entry per person
• Deadline for sending in your picture is 12midnight (Brunei time) Thursday 24 March 2011
